The hermetic compressor is something in which both motor and
compressor are present together attached in a single outer welded steel shell,
it is also known as a sealed compressor. The hermetic compressors are used in
light commercial and residential applications.
These are the ones which you’re going to have in your
refrigerators, your residential air conditioning systems, sometimes up to seven
and a half ton or you might have also seen 10-ton hermetic compressors.
